Sydna Ann Mozingo was born 1932 in Westport, Indiana. She graduated from Sandcreek High School and attended Ball State Teachers College. She was a lifelong resident of Decatur County. Sydna and her husband loved to travel and made numerous trips around the United States. They especially enjoyed seeing areas of the western part of the nation and visited many of the national parks during their frequent travels. She was a former member of the Ripley County Saddle Club and Tree City Campers. In their retirement years, she and her husband wintered in Davenport Florida. Sydna played the piano and was accompanist for her congregation of Worldwide Church of God for many years. She loved playing table games with family and friends and was unbeatable at checkers. Mom especially enjoyed spending time with her seven grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 step great-great grandchildren Sydna was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Robert Dale Mozingo. Her children, Gerald (Denise) Mozingo of Brownsburg, Indiana, Twila (Sam) Reynolds of Indianapolis, Indiana and Luella Mozingo of Carthage, Indiana survive. Sydna was proceeded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Ellen Perkins and Marion Francis Fox; brothers, James, Donald, Vernon, John, Ralph, Harold, Ernest and Joseph McCullough. Her brother, Robert Arthur McCullough of Westport survives. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12. Services will be Friday, December 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Bass and Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Union Baptist Cemetery near Greensburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Millhousen Volunteer Fire department or Gentiva Hospice through the funeral home.
