David was born in Westport, Indiana on April 3, 1939, to Stanley and Pearl Maddux. He attended Sandcreek High School where he excelled in sports and became a local star. He joined the United States Air Force in 1957 and faithfully served our country in this role for 23 years. In 1959 he married Linda Martin, his wife of 45 years, and together they raised 3 children, Terri, Mike, and Greg. Upon completion of his air force career, he entered a second career in the gaming industry where he fondly adopted the name "Poker Dave" and enjoyed dealing poker for 20 years. It was here where he met Deborah Kivisels and later married on November 27, 2010. Deborah was faithfully at his bedside when he passed.
