Donna J. Cann, 79, of Westport, passed away at 8:18 P.M. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus. She was born on September 6, 1944 in Greensburg, the daughter of Garrett DeWayne and Margaret Elizabeth (Hamilton) Wiley. She was a lifelong resident of Decatur County and was a teacher in Decatur and Jennings County. She was a member of the Westport Christian Church. She enjoyed music, the piano, autoharp and singing. Donna married George Cann on September 24, 1966 at the Westport Christian Church and he survives. Other survivors include her 2 daughters, Beth (Art) Pigmon and Jill (Gary) Guenthenspberger; 3 grandchildren, Michael Cann, Cassie Weaver-Hittel and Jim Pigmon; 2 great grandchildren, Oceano Cann and Leighla Cann. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ann Wiley. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Pastor Mike Bartlett will be officiating with burial to follow at Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
