Vincent Emil Ward, 95, of Butlerville, Indiana passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Our Hospice in Columbus, Indiana. He was born in Rosewood, Ohio on September 19, 1928, a son of the late Stanley William Ward and Alma Eleanor (Pickering) Ward. Vincent is survived by his two daughters, Kristine (Jeff) Bauerle, and Kimberly (Dan) Robinson; a son, Bruce (Junting) Ward; four stepchildren, Laura (Gary) Petro, Robin (Steve) McCunn, Jack (Adrian) Dunivan, and Duane (Libby) Dunivan; 15 grandchildren, Katrina, Kyle (Bethany), Will (Miranda), Sam (Grace), Cole, Shannon, David (Tiffany), Alek, Abby, Daniel, Tyler, Leah, Kristopher, Dylan, and Emma; 16 great grandchildren, Marcus, Kingston, Adalynn, Noah, Katrina, Alex, Emily, Jacob, Jayanna, Will, Isa, Maggie, Hazel, Paisley, Madison, and Penelope; three great-great grandchildren, Madelyn, Cameron, and Lochlan; and a brother, Marvin (Carol) Ward. In addition to his parents, Vincent was preceded in death by three sisters, Wilda Baughman, Shirley Kerr, and Verna Fielder. A U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran, Vincent graduated from The Ohio State University in 1951. He worked for Smith Douglas Fertilizer Company for 35 years as well as Farmer Home Administration. Vincent was a member of VFW Post #2021 in North Vernon, Indiana, American Legions Post #0777 in Indianapolis, Indiana, Masonic Lodge #317 F&AM in Nineveh, Indiana, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, and the National Rifle Association. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street in DeGraff, where a masonic service will begin at 12:30 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Quincy, Ohio with military rites performed by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
