Master Sargent Gerald (Jerry) Dean Cruser, retired, passed away on September 4, 2023, at Aspen Place in Greensburg, Indiana at the age of 88. Jerry was born on September 29, 1934, in Westport, Indiana to Robert and Audrey (Davis) Cruser. Jerry enlisted in the Air Force in 1952. Jerry attained the rank of Master Sargent and retired in 1972. Jerry and Molly were married on January 2, 1954. They traveled the world with the Air Force, eventually with five kids in tow, until retiring to Westport, Indiana in 1972. Jerry then went to work for Cummins Engine Company until 1986. After retiring from Cummins, Jerry and Molly enjoyed traveling in their RV, before settling down in Tucson, AZ for several years. Jerry volunteered at the Tucson VA Hospital for 22 years. Besides his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by brothers, Bobbie and Tommy, sister Judy Martin, two daughters, Cynthia Powell and Deborah Sanders, and one grandson, Bret Cruser. Surviving is his wife of 69 years, Molly Ann (White) Cruser. His three sons: Jerry Dale Cruser, wife Carolyn; Brian Cruser, wife Susan, and Paul Cruser, wife Anne. Grandchildren Heather (Bryon) Williams, L. Matthew Sanders, Christopher (Emily) Cruser, Holly Cruser, Nicholas Cruser, Tyler (Stephanie) Cruser, Sean (Melissa) Cruser, Eric (Rachel) Cruser, Evan Cruser, Danny Powell and Cuyler Powell. Also surviving are 16 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Military Graveside Services will be held on Monday, September 11 at 11:00 A.M. at the Westport Cemetery.
