Mildred Pauline LeMasters, age 72, of Columbus, was called home Saturday, August 5th, 2023. She was born January 29th, 1951, to Russell E. Mozingo and Stella L. Dickson in Columbus, IN. She grew up in Millhousen and attended Sand Creek School. Mildred married her "best friend and love of her life" Charles E. LeMasters June 16th, 1967, in Greensburg. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. Beautiful both inside and out, her presence was a calming force, a haven for those in need. Her warm compassion touched the lives of everyone she met, proving that the loudest impact can come from the gentlest souls. She holds a cherished place in the hearts of all who knew her. Her memory will forever live within us, serving as a quiet reminder to appreciate the beauty found in life's most humble moments. Though her absence leaves a void here on Earth, we find comfort knowing that, in Heaven, she's being embraced by the loving company of those who passed before her. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Helen Wamsley, Ruth Tempest, and Rosemary Oliver; as well as her brothers, Alfred Dickson, Jimmy, Sonny, Bud, and Kenny Mozingo. She is survived by her daughter, Julie (Rob) Clidinst, Columbus; son, Bruce LeMasters, Shelbyville; grandchildren, Gaige, Lexi, Brey, Ty, Taylor, Zachary, and Cody; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Kay Low, Marilyn Morton, Joyce Hessler, and Donna Sullivan; and her brother, Lester Mozingo. A celebration of life will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, August 9th, at the Westport Community Center. Burial will be at Union Baptist Cemetery in Decatur County.
