Anthony Wade Hanna, 37, of Westport, passed away at 3:35 p.m. on Sunday, May 16, 2021. He was born on February 16, 1984 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the son of Samuel Hanna and Rachel Dianne (Short) Hanna True and they both survive. He was raised in Westport and attended South Decatur High School. He worked for Townsend Tree Service. Anthony enjoyed cooking, especially BBQ ribs and pumpkin pies, mushroom hunting, fishing and making moonshine. He married Patricia Hurst in Greensburg, and she survives. Survivors include his parents; wife; daughter, Jade Hanna of Florence, Kentucky; sons, Jerome Hanna of Florence Kentucky and Jude Peterson of Greensburg; sisters, Angela (Tom) Collins of Westport and Sharon (Patrick) McDonough of Niles, Ohio; brother, Sam (Shannon) Hanna of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Wava Short, Jessie and Samuel Hanna; nephew, Shane McDonough and four cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive visitors on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 3:00 until time of service at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. We advise visitors to follow social distancing guidelines inside the funeral home and masks are recommended. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
