Alexander Bernard "Roach" Jones, 51, of Indianapolis, passed away at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, 2023, as a result of a motorcycle accident in Morrow County, Ohio. He was born on October 6, 1971, in Cook County, Illinois, the son of Donna (Jones) Wright. He was raised in Akron, Ohio and had been a resident of Indianapolis for the past 4 years. He received his bachelor's degree in business management and hospitality from Ashland University and was employed at Waffle House. Alexander was a member of the Freebyrds of Akron motorcycle club. He enjoyed motorcycling, cooking, standup comedy and he loved his children. He married Christine Amber Baldwin on July 4, 2023, in Indianapolis, and she survives. Other survivors include his mother, Donna Wright of Akron, Ohio; his daughter, Regina (Travis) Garrell of Raleigh, North Carolina; his son, Damon Jones of Indianapolis; stepchildren, Katherine (Gebrian) Dawson, Anita Granberry, Jessi Baldwin (Alydia Herrera), Kyonna Washington, Rich'e Washington, Sarvaya Baldwin, Azaria Love, Brielle Love, Evon Love; his sister, Alysia Jones-Wilson of Akron, Ohio; his grandchildren, Destiny, Trenity, Gebrian Jr., Otis and Jalen. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Abagail Fleenor officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, September 2 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to assist with funeral expenses through the funeral home.
