Daniel J. Richey, Sr., 47, of Shelbyville, passed away at 4:04 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg. He was born on September 16, 1974 in Greensburg, the son of Arthur O. Richey, Sr. and Sheila Marie (Tichenor) Parish. He had lived in Greensburg the majority of his life. He enjoyed tattoos, fishing and outdoor events. He is survived by his mother, Sheila Parish of Greensburg; companion, Chrissie Bishop of Batesville; daughters, Sarah Bishop and Brooke Bishop of Batesville; son, Daniel Richey, Jr. of Batesville; half-sister, Jennifer Heflin of Indianapolis; brothers, Arthur O. Richey, Jr. of Greensburg and Jay Moody of Osgood; and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur O. Richey, Sr. and sister, Lisa Richey. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of Decatur County through the funeral home.
