Eddie Lee England, 76, of Greensburg, passed away at 11:35 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was born on August 4, 1945 in Westport, the son of James H. and Dellar May (Roach) England. He was a lifelong resident of Decatur County. He retired 2009 from the Golden Foundry after 36 years of service. Eddie enjoyed woodworking and watching westerns. He married Linda Jean Masters on January 22, 1966 in Rushville, Indiana and she survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Kathy Diane (Kirk) Knisely of Indianapolis, Indiana; his son, Brian Keith (Kimberly) England of Westport and his brother, Curtis Allen (Sylvia) England of Westport. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Ruth Ann McIntosh & Gladys Stegemiller; his brothers, Willis "Bill" England, Carlton England, James England, Robert England & Lester Michael "Mike" England. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Burial will follow at the Union Presbyterian Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association through the funeral home.
