Timothy A. Thompson, 60, of North Vernon, passed away at 4:55 A.M. on Friday, September 17, 2021 at his residence. He was born on April 18, 1961 in Lynch, Kentucky the son of Allen R. & Betty J. (Lewis) Thompson. He lived the majority of his life in Jennings County and was a 1979 graduate of Jennings County High School. He worked at Harman Becker in Martinsville. He was a member of the Westport Christian Church. Tim enjoyed bass fishing and participated in many tournaments. He married Lisa K. Bowman on August 26, 2000 in Paragon, Indiana and she survives. Other survivors include his parents, Allen R. & Betty J. Thompson of North Vernon; daughters, Kayla Lamb of North Vernon, Katelyn Thompson of Westport, Angie (Nate) Roberts of Paragon, Indiana and Siobhan (Greg) McWhirter of Hamilton, Montana; sons, Cortney (Chad) Thompson of Louisville, Kentucky, Jacob Thompson and Jonathan Thompson both of Columbus and Adam (Brenda) Fulford of Paragon, Indiana; sisters, Kristy (Larry) Miller of North Vernon and Rhonda Ponsler (Mike Green) of North Vernon; 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday September 19, 2021 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Mike Bartlett officiating. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, September 19 from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
