Lewis Eugene Elliott, 83, of Greensburg, passed away at 6:04 p.m. on Monday, September 6, 2021 at Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg. He was born on October 1, 1937 in Greensburg, the son of Loraine and Martha (Jackson) Elliott. He was a resident of Decatur County for most of his life. Lewis retired in 1998 from Delta Faucet after 40 years of service. He owned and operated Elliott's Variety Store and operated an Antique Store out of his house in Burney. He was a member of the Tree City Classic Car Club. He attended the First Baptist Church in Greensburg, First Church of God, New Point Christian Church and Burney Baptist Church. Lewis enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting antiques and karaoke. He married Clara Marie Mozingo in Letts on October 2, 1959 and she preceded him in death on August 11, 2021. Survivors include his daughter, Gloria (Jim) Wenning of Greensburg; his son, Randy (Karen) Elliott of North Vernon; his grandchildren, Tyler (Sarah) Elliott, Travis (Alicia-Fiancee) Elliott, Stephanie (Zach) Meyer, Cameron (Becca) Elliott, Destiny Elliott, Nick Elliott; his great grandchildren, Paisley Elliott, Emilia Meyer, Abigail Elliott and Tinley Elliott; 1 niece and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clara Marie Elliott; son Ronald Elliott; sister, Barbara Parry. Following Lewis's wishes, he will be cremated. There will be no visitation or service at the funeral home. A graveside service will conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Mt. Aerie Cemetery with Mark Vice officiating. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, the Alzheimer's Association or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
