It is with sad hearts and deep regret that we announce the quiet passing of Emma Jean Preston, 87, of Greensburg, Indiana. Born January 5, 1934, Jean passed on November 21, 2021 at Aspen Place in Greensburg. She was the daughter of Harold and Goldie Rodgers and married L.W. (Jake ) Preston on March 15, 1952. While working more than 20 years at Greensburg High School, she was a faithful and devout Christian for 62 years and a member of Greensburg LifeLine Wesleyan Church, once pastored by her son, Doug Preston. She was preceded in death by her late husband, L.W. (Jake ) Preston (December 18th, 2004); daughter, Deborah L. Wilson (May 8, 2020); brothers, Harold Francis, Arnold Lee and Charles S. Rodgers; sisters, Lula Pearl Bryant, Betty Jane Barber and Carolyn Herbert. Emma has 2 loving surviving children: son Pastor Robert Douglas (Sherri) Preston of Greensburg, Indiana and daughter Tina (Michael) Saylor of Fort Myers, Florida. She also has 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 27th at LifeLine Wesleyan Church (2002 Moscow Rd) from 9:00 - 11:00 am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Nathan Muncie and Pastor Doug Preston officiating. Burial will be at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Lifeline Wesleyan Church through the funeral home. Bass & Gasper Funeral home has been entrusted with the services.
