Jeanette Young Bussberg, 83, of Westport, passed away at 12:39 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020 at the Emergency Room of Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. She was born on March 27, 1937 in St. Charles, Virginia, the daughter of John M. and Annie (Riddle) Head. She was a Westport resident for most of her life. She retired from Delta Faucet Company. She was a member of the Moose Lodge # 2203 and Eagles Lodge # 927 in Greensburg, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in North Vernon, the former Westport American Legion Post and Greensburg American Legion Post. Jeanette was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in St. Charles, Virginia and attended the Restoration Fellowship Church in Butlerville. Her first marriage was to Hershel Young, Sr. on May 28, 1955 in Richmond, Indiana. He preceded her in death on January 7, 1988. Her second marriage to Michael Terry Bussberg, Sr. in Westport on September 15, 1990 and he survives. Other survivors include her daughter, Annette (Armond) Ison of Butlerville; her sons, Hershel (Dolly) Young, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona and Robin (Fenisha) Young of Westport; her step daughter, Julie Lynn Bussberg of Greensburg; her step son, Michael T. (Angie) Bussberg, Jr. of Batesville; her sister, Helen Benbow of North Vernon; 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Hershel Young, Sr., her sisters, Bonnie Young & Mavis West; brothers, Herman, Herbert, James and Robert Head. The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Burial will follow at the Rock Creek Cemetery. A time for visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. We ask visitors to follow social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home and masks are required.
