Carolyn Sue Ross, 73, of Madison, formerly of Hope, went to her eternal home on Thursday, October 8, 2020. She was born on February 11, 1947 in Seymour, the daughter of Ervin Lloyd and Hazel (Goens) Bush. She married Joseph Edward Ross on June 5, 1965 in Columbus, Indiana. She worked as manager of Apple Tree and deli prep at Hope Food Mart. She was a wonderful cook, seamstress and could crochet just about anything. If there was a new craft, she would try it. She also loved quilting and painting. Her life was first her faith, then her love and devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, sons, Timothy (Jamie) Ross of Madison, Jonathon (Amber) Ross of Hope and daughter, Elizabeth (Troy) Claycamp of Seymour. Grandchildren are Jake Ross, Hayden Goodchild, Stanton Ross, Josh (Breanna) Ross, Brittney (Dewey) Barrett, Joe (Kirsten Marie) Ross, Haley Wingler, Tyler (Anna) Claycamp and Levi (Josie) Claycamp. Great grandchildren are Jaxson, Ryker, Hadelyn, Brayden, Jayden, Addilyn, Grayson, Weslynn and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Her siblings are Jack (Rita) Bush of Seymour and Bonita (Danny) Harper of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ervin E. "Gene" Bush of Westport and a sister, Barbara A. (Bradley) Bush of Columbus. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 12, 2020 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Rev. Connie Barr officiating. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. We ask visitors to follow social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home and masks are required. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Kings Daughter's Hospice.
