Erika Jo Maples, 27, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born September 6, 1993 in Dover, Delaware, the daughter of Jason and Tricia (Reitman) Maples. She was raised in Seymour and graduated from the Seymour High School in 2012. She had been employed at Grifols Plasma in Indianapolis. She enjoyed horseback riding, watching CUBS baseball and had a love for Corgi dogs, especially her pup Wesley. Erika is survived by her parents Jason and Tricia Maples; her brothers, Joseph and Matthew Maples; her sisters, Samantha and Olivia Maples all of Westport; grandparents, Ron and Margie Reitman of Westport and Kay Maples of Seymour. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Bob Maples. A mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020 at St. Ann Catholic Church with Rev. Jerry Byrd officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday October 1, 2020 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. We ask visitors to follow social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home and masks are required.
