Mary Ellen Hershberger, infant daughter of Wallace Henry, Jr. and Lydia Mae (Bontrager) Hershberger, of North Vernon, passed away at 1:55 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. She was born on February 4, 2021 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. She is survived by her parents Wallace Henry, Jr. and Lydia Mae (Bontrager) Hershberger. Other survivors include her sisters, Katherine Hershberger (Special Friend, Mark Schmucker), Carolyn Hershberger (Special Friend, Norman Yoder), Delilah Hershberger and Kristina Hershberger; her brothers, Jonas Hershberger (Special Friend, Rebecca Hochstetler), Alvin Hershberger, James Hershberger, John Hershberger, Marlin Hershberger, David Hershberger, Andrew Hershberger, Marcus Hershberger and Lucas Hershberger; her grandparents, John and Phyllis Bontrager, her special friend and cousin, Rosanna Bontrager. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wallace & Polly Hershberger. The funeral service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, February 8, 2021 at the residence of Aaron Bontrager at 8100 North CR 600 East North Vernon, Indiana, with Home Ministries officiating. Burial will follow at Plain View Amish Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and all day Sunday, February 7, 2021 at their residence.
