He was in five major campaigns: Naples-Foggia; Rome-Arno; Rhineland; Southern France; Central Europe. He received the Silver Star, 5 Bronze Stars, and Bronze Arrowhead. His battalion was with the Third Army under General Patton, Fifth in Italy with Clark, and Seventh in France with Patch. He married the love of his life, Carol Ruby Kyle, in Columbus, Indiana on January 11, 1946. He loved his family and Carol's and especially enjoyed being around his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Some of his hobbies included playing horseshoes, hunting mushrooms, fishing, playing the harmonica, and making people laugh with his sense of humor. Owen is survived by his daughter, Beverly (Herb) Behrman of Columbus; his son, Mark Owen (Viv) Wilson of Lexington, Indiana; his brother, Paul Bernard Wilson of Elizabethtown; his grandchildren, Dr. Annette Behrman (husband, Michael Witschke) of San Diego, California and Michael Behrman of Oakland, California.
