Michael Glenn 'Bird' Traylor, 66, of Westport, passed away at 3:54 a.m. on November 13, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus. He was born on January 30, 1953 in Portland, Indiana the son of Eddie Mose & Jessie Mae (McCord) Traylor. He was raised in Paris, Kentucky and Greensburg, Indiana and had been a resident of Westport the past 33 years. He attended Greensburg High School. Mike retired from Printpac after 25 years of service. He enjoyed playing cards, going to flea markets, fishing, and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He is survived by his daughters, Nikki Bennett of Westport, Jenny Hilligoss of Greensburg, and Shelly Grimes of Indianapolis; his sons, Dustin (Trista) Traylor of Westport, and Brandon (Amy) Wilmer of Poway, California; sisters, Ronda Jones of Fairmont, Indiana, Doris Dee (Jon) Way of Marion, Indiana, Libby (Eddie) Qualls of West Palm Beach, Florida, Karen (Randall) Sweeney of Florida, Katie (Jeff) Fafnacht of Columbus, Indiana and Brenda Karahosta of Florida; grandchildren, Tayedin and Kiptyn Traylor, Cameron, Grayson and Preston Wilmer, Zach and Steve Bennett, Alyson Gaines and Samantha Bennett; great grandchildren, Easton and Adalie Bennett, Charlie, Raelynn and Remington Bennett and Luke Bennett and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rick Basham. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Rev. David A. Scaggs officiating. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, November 16, 2019 two hours prior to the service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. According to Mike's wishes he will be cremated.
