JoAnn Gardner, 69, of Westport, passed away at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg. She was born on January 17, 1951 in Columbus the daughter of Dillard & Mary (Bailey) Trobaugh. JoAnn was raised in Bartholomew County and sang with the Trobaugh Family Gospel Group. She enjoyed going to craft shows. She married Michael Gardner on September 13, 1968 in Westport, and he survives. Other survivors include her mother, Mary Trobaugh of Columbus; sons, Jeffery Dale Gardner and Jimmy Dean (Rebekah) Gardner both of Westport; sisters, Lisa (Rick) Hill and Sandy (Randy) Lucas both of Columbus; Jenny (Garvin) Gardner of Westport, Barbara (Max) Tichenor of Greensburg, Donna (David) Buchanan of Westport; brothers, Bruce (Vernita) Trobaugh of Waynesburg and Larry Trobaugh of Scipio; 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Rev. Tony Guy and Rev. Glenn Black officiating. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Rodney Wesleyan Church.
