Virginia Gail Myers, 63, of Greensburg passed away at 12:35 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Our Hospice Inpatient Center at Columbus. She was born on May 29, 1957 in Greensburg, the daughter of Boin and Jane (Hornsby) Cain. She was a lifelong resident of Decatur County and had worked as a custodian for the Greensburg Community School for the past 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren along with cooking, going to garage sales, flea market and going on family trips. She married James W. Myers on June 16, 1994 in Greensburg. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2009. She is survived by her daughters, Jenny (Richie) Lozier and Karen Gaerte, both of Greensburg: her grandchildren, Desiree Elliott, Michael Elliott and Dylan Plowman, all of Greensburg; her two great grandchildren. Virginia had 17 brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and her son, Everett Plowman. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Cunnington officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Following her wishes after the service she will be cremated. She will be buried at the Union Presbyterian Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Decatur County.
