Margie Ann Gearhart, 45 of Greensburg passed away at 1:55 PM on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus. She was born on December 15, 1974 in Greensburg, the daughter of Donald Alfred & Lettie Mae (Galyen) Paton. Margie was a 1993 graduate of South Decatur High School and has been a lifelong resident of Decatur County. She had worked at Morning Breeze Nursing Home for over 10 years. She married Kevin Gearhart on March 7, 1998 in Decatur County and he survives. Other survivors include her mother, Lettie Mae Paton of Greensburg; sisters, Dorothy Morton, Gorgenia Ralph and Donna Galyen all of Greensburg; brothers, Andrew Paton and Jim Galyen both of Greensburg. She was preceded in death by her father. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the Union Presbyterian Cemetery with Pastor Tyler Leeds officiating. Bass & Gasper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or Our Hospice through the funeral home.
