Glenn David Bush, 65, of Columbus, passed away at 5:53 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at his residence. He was born on January 18, 1955 in Huntington, Tennessee, the son of Dolphus Hoyt & Ethelene (Cary) Bush. He was raised in Westport and had lived in Florida for 31 years. David was a 1973 graduate of South Decatur High School. He had worked as a diesel mechanic at Cummins Engine Co. for 40 years. He was a member of the Westport Baptist Church. David enjoyed bowling, basketball & riding motorcycles. Survivors include his sister, Betty (Jim) Harrison of Westport and brother, Allen Wayne (Robbie) Bush of Hope. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private graveside service will be conducted for the family at the Rockcreek Cemetery with Rev. David A. Scaggs officiating. The Bass & Gasper Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westport Baptist Church or the Kidney Foundation through the funeral home.
