Carolyn Sue Giddings, 76, of Westport, passed away at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at her residence. She was born on January 9, 1944 in Greensburg, the daughter of Edward Francis & Flossie Pearl Small. Carolyn had been a resident of Decatur County the majority of life. She was a nurse's aide and retired from the Odd Fellows Nursing Home. She enjoyed crafts and crocheting. She married Donald Eugene Giddings in Letts on October 26, 1969 and he survives. Other survivors include her sons, Kevin Eugene (Angela) Giddings of Shelbyville and Wilbur Dale Hazelgrove, Jr. of Madison; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; cousin, Jeff & Mona Dean of Osgood; several cousins, nieces and nephews; her caregivers, LeAnn & Jason Henderson and Mattilee Meece. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Donald Eugene Giddings, Richard Hazelgrove; daughter, Penny Marie Odell and grandson, Justice Hazelgrove. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with cremation to follow at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be at the Rodney Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
