Robert L. Colvin, 76, of Vernon, passed away at 6:31 p.m. on Monday, May 25, 2020 at his residence. He was born on November 19, 1943 in Indianapolis, the son of Loyd & Genevieve June (Hemphill) Colvin, Robert lived in Indianapolis the majority of his life and had lived in Jennings County the past 8 years. He was a 1963 graduate of Greenfield High School. He enjoyed NASCAR and I.U. basketball. He is survived by his daughter, Kim (Brian) Edmondson of Vernon; his sons, Tobin Colvin of Greensburg and Jason (Jill) Colvin of Ocala, Florida; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Brian Colvin. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Following his wishes, cremation will follow the visitation.
