Barbara M. Hoeing, 73, of Greensburg, passed away at 3:45 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2020 at Heritage House Nursing Home. Barbara was born on May 29, 1946 in Rush County, the daughter of Wilbur & Bertha (Kelley) Harding. She has been a Decatur County resident since 1972 and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She married Alvin J. Hoeing on November 7, 1970 in Rushville and he survives. Other survivors include her daughters, Lisa (Scott) Ogle of Greensburg and Deborah Hoeing of Indianapolis; her son, Mike (Christie) Hoeing of Connersville; her four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Roseanne Clifford and Linda Fry; her brother, Bill Harding; her half-Brother, Glenn Kelley. Due to the recent public health safety mandate of limited gatherings, a private graveside service was conducted on Tuesday March 24, 2020 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery. Officiating was Sister Donna Prickel. A memorial Mass will occur at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made through the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Decatur County through the funeral home.
