Peggy J. Craft, 91, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Our Hospice Inpatient facility. She was born on May 30, 1927 in Huntingdon, England, the daughter of Charles and Ellen Elizabeth (Pedley) Clark. She was raised in England, then moved to the Kentucky in 1944 and has been a resident of Indiana since 1966. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and reading. She worked for the Red Cross in England during World War 2, where she met her husband James. She married James R. Adams in 1944 in Huntingdon, England and came to America on the Queen Mary. James preceded her in death on September 11, 1964. She was married to Virgil Craft and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2002. Survivors include her daughters, Cathy J. (Robert R.) Reed of Columbus, Sheila C. Flath of Columbus and Michele R. (Wayne) Komsi of North Vernon; her sons, James C. (Vickie) Adams of Milford, Randy Adams of Lebanon and Chris Craft of North Vernon; her sisters, Eileen McCellan and Barbara Zoric, both of Huntingdon, England; 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James R. Adams and Virgil Craft; daughter, Dora E. Tungate; sons, Adrian L. Adams and Benjamin S. Craft; sister, Jill Clark. Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January, 2, 2019 at Rockcreek Cemetery. Bass & Gasper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
