Joseph Arnold McCullough, 79, of Greensburg, passed away at 7:54 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at his residence. He was born on April 10, 1939 in Westport, the son of James Simon and Mabel (Tanner) McCullough. He was a lifelong resident of Decatur County and graduated from Sandcreek High School in 1958. He retired from KS Bearings in 2001 after 42 years of service. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed working on bicycles, doing yard work, outdoor activities and spending time with his family. He married Juanita Hannum on December 28, 1968 in Westport and she survives. Other survivors include his daughters Deborah Kay (Robert) Coons, Barbara Ann (Robert) Wood both of Greensburg, Terrie Brown of Shelbyville, Connie Sue Reed of Greensburg, Nancy Jo Davis of Shelbyville, Brandy Nicole Remmler of St. Paul; sons, Robert Charles (Jackie) Hampton of Biloxi, Mississippi, Donald Eugene Hampton, John William "Bill" (Helen) Hampton and Brian K. (Karla) McCullough all of Greensburg; sisters, Sydna Ann Mozingo of Greensburg, Marion Francis Fox of Bremerton, Washington; brother, Robert Arthur McCullough of Westport; 23 grandchildren; several great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Stephen Lee Hampton; sister, Mary Ellen Perkins; brothers, James, Donald, Vernon, John, Ralph, Harold & Ernest McCullough. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Pastor Malvin McCullough officiating. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery with Military graveside rites. Friends may call at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bread of Life through the funeral home.
