Virginia Sue Mozingo, 66, of Greensburg, passed away at 6:10 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus. She was born November 24, 1951 in Austin, Indiana, the daughter of Leroy Melvin and Opal Mae Owens. She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing crafts. She married Larry Mozingo on July 19, 2012 in Greensburg. He preceded her in death on July 14, 2014. Survivors include her son, Robert W. (Sonya) Friend, Sr. of Butlerville; brother, Steve R. Owens of Texas; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Wilbur "Buddy" Owens; sister, Margie Davis; granddaughter, Taylor Violet Dawn Robertson. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Union Flatrock Baptist Church with Rev. Malvin McCullough & Rev. Forest Hamilton officiating. Burial will be at the Union Flatrock Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held two hours prior to service at the Church. Bass & Gasper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Union Flat Rock Church through the funeral home.
