Toby T. Brown, 45, of Westport, passed away at 1:28 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at his residence. He was born on June 13, 1973 in Columbus, the son of William Brown & Sharon (Phelps) Holcomb. He was a lifelong resident of Decatur County. He graduated from South Decatur in 1991 and Universal Automotive Institute in Texas. He had been employed at Ringer's Automation in North Vernon. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, watching sports on TV and playing with his dog, Katie. He married Julia L. Parker on November 3, 1996 in Westport, Indiana and she survives. Other survivors include his parents, William (Kathy) Brown of Westport and Sharon (Russell) Holcomb of Georgia; brothers, Jody (Marla) Brown of Columbus and Cory Brown of Westport; his paternal grandmother, Doris Brown of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Keith Brown; maternal grandmother, Louise Spicer and maternal grandfather, Phillip Phelps. Per his wishes he will be cremated with no service. There will be a private Celebration of Life at a later date. Bass & Gasper Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
