Kreszenz "Zenta" Krzyzanowski, 85, of Westport, passed away at 5:22 a.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus. She was born on December 5, 1932 in Gernlinden, Germany, the daughter of Josef & Walburga (Bogmair) Hansel. She was born and raised in Germany. She came to the USA in 1957 through the Catholic Relief Organization and their sponsor family was Roger & Jean Finley. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg. Zenta enjoyed gardening, bird watching and cooking. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She married Eugeniusz Krzyzanowski in Germany on October 10, 1954 and he preceded her in death on January 24, 1972. Survivors include her children, Sonja Krzyzanowski of Westport, Ruth (William H.) Galloway of Greensburg, Roger (Diane)Krzyzanowski of Greensburg, Lore (Mark) Oesterling of Greensburg and Trish Witkemper of Greensburg; her sister, Resi (Robert) Reiter of Neidenstein, Germany; her grandchildren, Sara (Kyle) Shireman, Karin (Wade) Farr, Krista (John) Evans, Nicholas Oesterling, Jill Witkemper and Eric Witkemper; her great grandchildren, Lyndsey & Carter Shireman and Emmitt Evans. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Josef Hansel and Zep Hansel; sisters, Johanna Schmidt, Pepi Klose and Paula Gilger. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the St Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Father John Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greensburg. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. The Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport has been entrusted with handling the funeral arrangements. Memorials can be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice Inpatient Facility.
