Joshua Lynn Clark, 38, of Westport, passed away at 1:39 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 as a result of an auto accident. He was born on July 12, 1980 in Columbus, the son of Daryl L. and Cindy C. (Cooper) Clark. He was a lifelong resident of Decatur County and graduated from South Decatur High School in 1999. He was employed by AT&T as a service technician. He attended Union Baptist Church. Joshua enjoyed swimming, golfing, playing cards, football, outdoor activities and spending time with his sons, family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Daryl & Cindy Clark of Westport; his sons, Austin & Maverick Clark of North Vernon; his brothers, Dustan (Brandy) Clark of North Vernon and Jordan (Cassie Smith) Clark in Greenwood; grandparents, Robert "Bob" & Alberta Clark and Barbara Cooper all of Westport. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gordon Cooper. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Steve Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Westport Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Austin & Maverick Clark Trust Fund.
