Ralph E. Wiggins "Wiggie", 78, of Westport, passed peacefully in his sleep at Our Hospice at Aspen Place in Greensburg on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 10:10 a.m. He was born on September 5, 1939 in Westport. He was the son of William Owen and Mary Lorein (Patterson) Wiggins. He has been a lifelong resident of Westport and had graduated from Sandcreek High School in 1958. He owned and operated Wiggins Tree Service. Ralph was a member of the Moose Lodge # 576 in North Vernon and American Legion Post # 24 in Columbus. He was a veteran having served with the U.S. Airforce from 1958 until 1962. He enjoyed fishing in Canada, mushroom hunting, playing Euchre, working every day that he could and spending time with his grandkids. He married Maria G. Duykers in Eygelshoven, Netherlands on December 21, 1962 and she survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Brenda E. Yentz of Westport; son, Brian W. (Kathy) Wiggins of Westport; grandsons, Logan Schumacher of Westport, Conner (Jessica) Yentz of Columbus, Tanner Yentz of Columbus, Evan Wiggins of Westport and granddaughter, Amanda Wiggins of Chicago, Illinois; sister, Gertrude (Garnet) Kuntz of Westport and 3 nieces of Westport. He was preceded in death by his parents. With respect of his wishes he will be cremated with no visitation or funeral.
