Lacondia Adalene Johnson, 83, of Westport, passed away at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Aspen Place Health Center. She was born on February 15, 1936 in Spraytown, Indiana, the daughter of Ralph and Anna (Darling) Weekly. She was a 1954 graduate of North Vernon High School. She was a member of the Westport Baptist Church, where she and her husband were custodians for 37 years. She also was a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader and Vacation Bible School Teacher. She married Earl Layne Johnson on August 5, 1956 at the Vernon Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2013. Survivors include her sons, Ralph (Jewell) Johnson of Westport, William Earl Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Steve (Kelly) Johnson of Panama City, Florida; sister, Zelpha Byard of Westport; grandchildren, Madison Joy Johnson, AudreyGail Grace Johnson, Sawyer Raymond Johnson and Sullivan Wells Johnson all of Panama City, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Rev. David A. Scaggs and Pastor Paul May officiating. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westport Volunteer Fire Department, Westport Baptist Church Building Fund or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
