Clayton Philpot, 43, of North Vernon, passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019 at his residence. He was born on January 7, 1976 the son of Clyde Gordon & Bernice (Durham) Philpot. He was raised in North Vernon. He enjoyed playing his guitar, coin collecting, and metal detecting. He is survived by his daughter, Hailey Philpot of Scottsburg; his brothers, Clyde Gordon Philpot, Jr. of North Vernon, Timothy Philpot of Scottsburg and Jason Philpot of Greensburg; his sisters, Jessica Philpot of North Vernon and Sharon Smith of Deputy. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport.
