Randy L. Kennedy, 56, of Greensburg, passed away at 10:25 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at his residence. He was born on September 14, 1962 in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Marion J. and Verna Lou (Cline) Kennedy. He lived the majority of his life in Decatur County and graduated from Greensburg High School in 1980. Randy has been employed at GECOM for the past 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports and collecting baseball cards. Survivors include his mother, Verna Lou Shanks of Greensburg; his brother, Danny R. (Lisa M.)Kennedy of Columbus; his sister, Keri (Justin) Embree of Casper, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his father, Marion J. Kennedy; step-father, Sonny Shanks; sisters, Sandra Roberts and Carol Stuehrenberg; nieces, Mindy Hash and Teresa Wilson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday July 11, 2019 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Pastor Eli Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Aerie Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
