Melissa L. Hawkins, 33 of Greensburg, passed away at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg. She was born December 18, 1985 in Greensburg, the daughter of Richard Louis and Jennifer Lynne (Land) Powers. She was a lifelong resident of Greensburg and graduated from Greensburg High School in 2004. She had worked as a supported living assistant for a group home. She attended Greensburg Community Church and enjoyed doing scrapbooking. She is survived by her sons, Ethan Louis and Alan Michael Hawkins both of Greensburg; her father, Richard Louis Powers, Sr. of Greensburg; her sisters, Candice Lynne Hammond of Elkhart, Krystal Leah Timmerman of Greensburg; her brother, Richard Louis Powers, Jr. of Greensburg and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jennifer Powers. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Ray Sweet and Mr. Steve Frensemeier officiating. Burial will be at the Hebron Cemetery in Adams. A time of visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
