Willa M. Knarr, 90, of Greensburg, passed away at 6:25 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg. She was born on January 18, 1929 in Decatur County, the daughter of Thomas A. & Minnie (Mantooth) Giddings. She was a lifelong resident of Decatur County and was a member of Union Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and gardening. She married John W. Knarr at Union Baptist Church on August 25, 1968. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2013. Survivors include her son, William Dale (Sheral) Merritt of Greensburg, step-daughters, DeeDee (Roy) Cross of Columbus and Jane (Bill) Hitchcock of Greensburg; brothers, Marvin L. Giddings, James Giddings and Maurice Thomas Giddings all of Greensburg; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters, Karen Innis & Roxy Merritt; son, Rollin Merritt; sister, Wilma K. Wright; brother, Earl Giddings; grandsons, Andy Merritt & Robert Brown and a great granddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Dr. Robb Barlow officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice, Union Baptist Church or Union Baptist Cemetery.
