Ray McIntosh, 88, of Greensburg, passed away at 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at his residence. He was born on May 22, 1930 in Buckhorn, Kentucky, the son of Luther and Nan (Sandlin) McIntosh. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper and had been a Greensburg resident for a majority of his life. He had worked at McIntosh Standard Oil and Wrecker Service. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, collecting coins, guns, old metal toys and RV camping. He will be remembered for his love of jokes and his stories. He married Carolyn M. Bishop on June 2, 1962 in Letts, and she survives. Other survivors include his children, Rhonda L. Wood of Burney, Teresa R. Wise and Nan M. Keeton both of Greensburg, Jerry Ray (Michelle) McIntosh of Brookville; sister, Shirley Kelly of Fortville; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughters, Molly McIntosh and Clarissa McIntosh; sisters, Ethel Mansheim & Emma Young; brothers, Jerry McIntosh and Bert Sandlin. A time of remembrance will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until time of service. Entombment will be at Union Presbyterian Cemetery at a later date.
