Jordan Paul Dale, 32, of Forrest Hill, passed away at 11:38 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Community South Hospital in Greenwood. He was born on June 27, 1986 in Batesville, the son of David Wayne Dale & Geraldine "Gerri" (Lee) Byard. He was a lifelong resident of Decatur County. He was home educated and graduated Cum Laude from Dayspring Christian School in 2005. He had been employed at Wal-Mart D.C. in Seymour for 14 years where he received numerous accommodations. Jordan had been a member of Faith Baptist Church in Greensburg since birth where he ministered in various aspects. He became a member of Waynesburg Christian Church in 2018. He was a member of the NRA, the NMLRA and the National Bowling Association. His heart beat for his family and he enjoyed spending time with them, sharing family dinners and traveling. He was a sweet, sensitive, hardworking, compassionate, loving, godly family man who lived his life with integrity and honesty. Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" is the way he faced his 4 year battle with brain cancer. Jordan was dearly loved by many and will be missed by all that knew him. He enjoyed NASCAR, sprint car and dirt track racing. He married the love of his life, Jeanine Davis on October 23, 2010 in Greenburg, and she survives, with their daughter, Alexis Dale who was a definite "daddy's girl". Other survivors include his father, David (Cindy) Dale of Greensburg; mother, Geraldine "Gerri" (Arlen) Byard of St. Paul; in-laws, Jannie (Curtis) Combs, Jr. of Greensburg; sister, Jessica (Daron) Scudder of St. Paul; brother, Joe Goss of Greensburg; half-brothers, Mike Dale of Greensburg and Brent Dale of Indianapolis; stepbrother, Chris Houpey of Greensburg; sister-in-law, Maria Combs of Greensburg, brother-in-law's, Curtis III and Victor Combs; grandmother, Miriam (Edilberto) Miranda of Panama Republic of Panama and niece & nephews, Lane, Isabella and Garrett Scudder of St. Paul, Olivia & Ethan Dale of Greensburg; aunts, Carri Lee of Westport, Sherri (Billy) Witt of Carlisle, Ohio, Cathie (Larry) Romine of Phoenix, Arizona, Patricia (Douglas) Bowlby of Newark, Ohio, Angelica Davis (Hanoi Acevedo) of Pembroke Pine, Florida, Yessika Pitti (Cesar Rodrigez) of Panama Republic, Panama, Rosie (David) Young of Greensburg, Kathyleen (Ronie) Ward of Greensburg, Dorothy (Matthew) Galbraith of Hope, Donna Mitchell of Hope. He was preceded in death by angel baby, Micah Quinn Dale; his grandparents, Dennis & Irene Lee, Esther & Dick Mitchell, Vanus Paul Dale and Idabelle & Curtis Combs, Sr. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Reverend Jay Vanderbur officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society or Waynesburg Christian Church.
