Grover L. Powers, 63, of Greensburg, passed away at 12:57 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 14, 1956 in Greensburg, the son of Lester Wayne & Elsie Faye (Parker) Powers. Grover was a lifelong resident of Decatur County. He was a member of the American Legion Post #129 in Greensburg and the Decatur County Conservation Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and buying, selling and bartering. Survivors include his children, Amy Clark (fiance, Lonnie Lacey) of Greensburg, Grover L. (Karen) Powers, II of Osgood, Chasityt Campfield of Westport and Charles Powers of Greensburg; sister, Alice Lynch of Columbus; brothers, Roger Powers of Greensburg, Lester Powers of Westport and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry Wayne Powers and Charles Lester Powers. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport.
