Daniel Lee Riddell, 57, of Indianapolis, passed away at 10:39 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2019. He was born on March 6, 1961 in Indianapolis, the son of Delbert E. & Jessica Ann (Brinkman) Riddell. He was raised in Westport and was a 1979 graduate of South Decatur High School. Danny served in the Army National Guard after high school. He enjoyed playing softball. He is survived by his father, Delbert E. Riddell of Westport; son, Greg (Kyla) Oakley of Indianapolis; brother Robert L. Riddell of Nashville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Joseph E. Riddell. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Rev. Steve Malone officiating. Burial will follow at Butlerville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday, January 21, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the donor’s choice.
